Jackson Christian School Announces New Relationship with NCS

12 Aug 2009

"For several months Jerry Escue and I have been working on behalf of JCS to begin forming a relationship with Nicaragua Christian School in Leon, Nicaragua. NCS is supported by several of our brotherhood congregations and many individual Christians across the United States. If you are interested, you may read more about NCS at their web site: http://www.nicaraguachristian.org.

Our motivation for forming this relationship is twofold: 1) To use our God-given resources to help provide support for Christian education; and, 2) to provide a venue whereby we can encourage and teach our students (especially those in the elementary school) to develop a globally-oriented heart for serving others."

Celebrate with us this new sisterhood between two wonderful schools that seek the glory of God!"

- Dr. Rick Brooks, President, Jackson Christian School

NCS is approved to add 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades in 2010!

In May we were privileged to meet with Monistra Milena Nunez, Vice Minister of Education for Nicaragua. The purpose was to ask her to make an exception to the moratorium on approving new schools and give approval to NCS. She was invited to visit NCS, which she accepted and as a result, she has approved our school for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade in 2010 and another grade each year through elementary school. High school grades will be approved before we need it.

What a wonderful God we serve! God has his own timetable and it does not necessarily match ours… especially mine. But when we do our part God makes things happen exactly when and how HE wishes.

Thank you for your support during this very difficult and frustrating time. Now we must work hard to raise the money needed for a multi-purpose gymnasium-auditorium-cafeteria, library and computer lab, and more classroom buildings which will be needed by 2013.

Please continue to support the school with your money and especially your prayers.
